Glimmer of Hope
The Glimmer of Hope Foundation is a Rhode Island nonprofit that brings comfort, confidence, and hope to children and families facing childhood cancer. Founded by Alison Hornung in honor of her friend Ella, the foundation is known for its bald doll program, glamorous photoshoots that help kids forget their struggle for a day, and bereavement support for grieving families β plus the annual Glimmer Gala, a runway show where childhood cancer fighters and survivors are celebrated alongside kids going through the same thing, so they feel seen and understood.
